Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The catfish was excellent alongside the hush puppies. Their garlic fried potatoes were exceptional highly recommended. The service was very good our server Alexus was very friendly and prompt. She even shared the reason why "Hush Puppies " have that name. You'll have to ask for Alexus when you dine there. The ambiance is open almost cafeteria style. Tables and booths are available. Overall a pleasant dining experience.

The food here was pretty good. I got the shrimp and grits and the shrimp were cooked well and the grits were very saucy. It did get a bit loud and cramped after a while, so maybe come earlier in the day. Despite how busy they were, the servers were fast and friendly, checking on us periodically.

I'll post this again. For whatever reason, the "geniuses" at Yelp thought my reveiw wasn't real and that I did not actually vidit Honey Butters. I DID visit it, and will continue to visit it. My original flagged review: Located in the old Candle Factory Restaurant. Food was good and moderately priced, but nothing really spectacular. Our waitress was vey pleasant and friendly. Yes, it IS located in an older restaurant that used to be called The Candle Factory. Yes, the food was very good and it was very reasonably priced. Our waitress was super. Based on the food and price, and service, I WILL eat there again.

This place has one of those classic diner feels but a bit more modern. I was greeted at the door with a smile and a good morning. Quickly seated. Waitress was friendly. Quick to offer suggestions when prompted. Sausage gravy could use more seasoning, it was not the best. Biscuits were tough. Almost felt like they were reheated from the day before. I had never had stone ground grits before so I can't compare them as far as taste. They were OK.. I would happily go back here and try another item on the menu.

We went to Honey's on a Sunday around 10:45 am. We waited about 20 minutes and were seated at the bar. I previously was here on a weekday and there was no wait time. I had the tropical mimosa and my partner had the Irish coffee. Both were very strong and a great deal for the price. I ordered the corn beef hash, my partner had the breakfast sandwich. The corned beef came w garlic potatoes which were amazing. The beef itself was not overly salty or runny, which I appreciate. The breakfast sandwich was surprisingly light, and very filling. On a previous visit I had a blueberry pancake, scrambled egg whites, and turkey sausage. The pancake in itself was very filling. My egg whites were super fluffy, and very enjoyable, the turkey sausage was definitely a frozen sausage patty, which is to be expected and tasted as such. Our server at the bar was as engaging as we wanted her to be. She made the experience and ambiance feel warm and welcoming. I did notice that the bourbon and alcohol selection was good. It's nothing overly special or specific, but it's good enough that most folks will find something they like. Honey's is certainly a place we will be back to.

Williamsburg is known for its pancake houses, especially those located on Richmond Road. This Honey Butter's is located off Monticello Road and is more of a locals' place since it's away from the tourist area. We visited recently as a group of six around 10:30 am on a Sunday. The breakfast rush was wrapping up, and we were seated almost immediately. They offer a broad menu of breakfast items, all reasonably priced with perfect portions. I prefer egg whites and was able to request an omelet made using them. It was delicious!!! One of our group ordered the eggs benedict, which came with potatoes and ham. The eggs were more soft cooked than runny, but still very good. We recommend Honey Butters if you're in the area and looking for a good breakfast.
